This, in a way I suppose, contains spoilers for one of the many endings in the most amazing game "Ib". You've been warned.

A Different PerspectiveI ask you how a knife feels as it digs into a man's heart.

Does it shy away from the pain it inflicts,

is it sickened by the sight of the blood?

Or does it long to sink deep into his chest,

down to the bone handled grip?

(You reply that it doesn't feel either way,

whether a knife wants it or not a man dies today.)

I ask you if your shoe is tired, for its growing old.

Does the pain of being crushed by your feet

take rest and resonate deep in its sole?

Or does it love the honor of being used by you,

and willing to keep making your footprints.

(You say it's meant to be stepped on, it's a shoe

it doesn't have feelings like me or you)

Hysteria Is it laughing
Or is it crying?
Why can't I stop?
Why can't anything
Just go right?
Why must it all
Go wrong?
The day gets better
And then sharply worse
To the point where
Something as stupid
As a misfitted dress
Has me in
Hysterics.

Was it laughter
Or was it tears?
Whatever it was,
It wouldn't stop.
My chest tightened,
My stomach knotted
And I could not
Stop.
Am I losing it?
Did I never have it?
Is my mind,
My body,
My heart,
My soul,
All past their
Breaking point?

Was it giggles
Or was it sobs?
Whatever it was,
I never want to
Feel it again.
But I can feel
Sobs collecting
In my chest,
My gu

The ReasonIf there is never a dull moment with friends
Why are we also so silent?
If friends can tell if those close to them are lying
Why do you not notice I always keep the truth from you?

We say "Friends Forever!"
Does 'Forever' last a day?
Do you really want to know?
Why have those perfect memories faded away?
It was never cherished. Don't pretend to miss them now.

There's another thing I know, should I tell you?
This is not me.
This is who you wanted me to be.
Who am I?
You have no clue.
The Reason?
The real me would never please you.
